About Me – Meet Juju

About Me — Meet Juju

Hi! I’m Julie — but the people who love me call me Juju. I’m a single 60-year-old Jewish woman with a curious heart, a suitcase that’s always nearby, a growing collection of passport stamps, a talent for ending up in places that make people say, “Wait… you went WHERE?” plus a deep appreciation for the amazing, beautiful, fascinating world we live in!

Over the last several years, I’ve stood among penguins in Antarctica. I’ve wandered the colorful medinas of Morocco. I’ve watched lions stretch in the early morning sun on safari in Kenya and Tanzania. I’ve floated in turquoise waters off Zanzibar. Most recently I’ve wandered through Cuba, sailed Croatia on a private yacht (yes — it was as magical as it sounds), explored Spain, and I’m off to Japan and Alaska next. And most of the time, I do all this with a Jewish singles group — which means my adventures usually include laughter, community, and someone reminding me to bring snacks!

This blog is my travel journal — part storytelling, part love letter to the world, and part “you won’t believe what happened on this trip.” My trips are part spiritual, part hilarious, and completely life-affirming. I write with warmth, honesty, and a little Jewish humor — because adventure doesn’t end at 60. Sometimes, I think it’s just beginning.

I hope my stories make you smile, feel connected, and maybe even remind you that adventure doesn’t have an age limit.

So whether you’re here for travel tips, cultural stories, Jewish connections, or just to see where I wander next…

Welcome.

From Juju, with love 💙✈️
