Another incredible day of vacation.
Our day began at Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, one of the most unique and beautiful temples in South Korea. Perched dramatically along the sea, the temple’s stunning location made it feel especially peaceful and serene.
Inside, we admired a magnificent three-story pagoda decorated with lions and learned the legend of the Great Goddess Buddha, who is said to live in the sea and appear on the back of a dragon.

From there, we drove past Haeundae Beach, Korea’s most famous beach, with its sweeping shoreline and vibrant coastal atmosphere.
Next, we visited Dongbaekseom and Nurimaru APEC House, built for the 2005 APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting. Surrounded by beautiful camellia and pine trees, the setting was every bit as impressive as the architecture. We also saw the famous Princess Hwangok Mermaid Statue standing on the rocks along the shore.

Our final stop was Gukje Market, a bustling marketplace filled with hundreds of shops selling crafts, artwork, antiques, and local treasures.

Of course, no visit would be complete without sampling the local food. We enjoyed cheese and honey pancakes, apple-filled waffles, and delicious vegetarian dumplings before doing a little shopping and heading back to the ship with bags full of souvenirs and hearts full of memories.

And now? We’re relaxing by the pool, soaking up the sunshine, and watching Top Gun on the big screen.

Not a bad way to end another unforgettable day in Asia.
