Floating Orchids, Kimonos, and One Last Tokyo Adventure

Our final full day in Tokyo was the perfect ending to an unforgettable journey.

We started the morning at teamLab Planets TOKYO, one of the most imaginative and immersive experiences I’ve ever had. We walked barefoot through water, wandered through dazzling rooms of lights and mirrors, and stood beneath a breathtaking garden of floating orchids. It felt like stepping into another world.

From there, we headed to Asakusa for a delicious lunch of Okonomiyaki before taking part in a traditional tea ceremony.

Dressed in beautiful kimonos, we learned the rituals of preparing and drinking Matcha. It was a peaceful and memorable experience, and for a little while, we felt like we had stepped back in time.

Afterward, we shopped for chopsticks and other souvenirs to bring home, small reminders of this extraordinary adventure.

Now we’re riding the Ginza line subway back to Shibuya for some last-minute shopping and one final dinner together before packing for our flight home tomorrow.

My suitcase is filled with souvenirs, my phone is overflowing with photos, and my heart is full of memories from the trip of a lifetime shared with wonderful friends.

Japan, you have been everything I hoped for and so much more. 🇯🇵💙✨
