The absolute best part about travel and coming home was the greeting I got from my sled dog doodle when I picked her up from the sitter’s house. Cathy brought her outside to greet me, and she went absolutely crazy — jumping, whining, kissing, and spinning in circles. I videotaped it because my travel friends all wanted to see how excited she would get.
I shared the video with my niece and she said “Omgggg she’s literally jumping for joy”
And I realized the video captured exactly what everyone loves about Maizey — pure emotion, zero dignity, full-body happiness.
And honestly, the sweetest part was watching her run back to Cathy and Joe to kiss them too. It was so obvious how loved and cared for she was while I was gone.
This morning Cathy texted me:
“We truly fell in love with her — and waking up this morning without her, well, we already miss her.” 💙
As hard as it is to leave her when I travel, knowing she was that happy and loved gave me such peace of mind.
And now she’s following me from room to room making sure I don’t disappear again. 😊🐾
No souvenir from Japan could compete with that welcome home.
After two incredible weeks abroad, home finally felt complete again.
From Juju with love 💙🐾
