OMG… what an amazing day in Vancouver!
We started the morning at the Capilano Suspension Bridge, where my Michigan flag made its first appearance of the day. We crossed the suspension bridge, wandered through the treetops, and soaked in the beauty of the forest from above.

Next stop: Grouse Mountain. We rode the gondola to the top and were rewarded with spectacular views of Vancouver and the surrounding mountains. Lunch on the outdoor bistro patio with good friends and gorgeous scenery? It doesn’t get much better than that.

From there, we headed to FlyOver Vancouver at Canada Place. What an incredible experience! The film truly made it feel like we were soaring over Canada. It was immersive, exciting, and so much fun.

Then came the adventure I had been looking forward to all day…
We walked over to the seaplane terminal and climbed aboard a five-passenger seaplane with our pilot, Craig, who surprised me by letting me sit in the co-pilot’s seat! The views of Vancouver, the coastline, and the mountains were absolutely breathtaking. The laughter was flowing, too—especially when my friend Michele, wearing a skort, accidentally flashed all of us while trying to climb out of the plane! 🤣 Some travel memories simply can’t be planned.

Of course, my Michigan flag made another appearance at the seaplane.

We ended the evening with a delicious salmon dinner at Cardero’s on the waterfront, then treated ourselves to gelato across from our hotel before calling it a night.

It was one of those days that reminds me why I love to travel—beautiful places, unforgettable experiences, and wonderful friends to share them with.
Juju is a very happy traveler tonight.
Tomorrow we board the ship and begin the Alaska portion of the adventure. I have a feeling the best is still to come. 💙
